The mural inspired our new name.
Bistro is another word for a small restaurant with modest food that serves alcohol.
Somehow, while eating and brainstorming with a group of friends, we came up with Beastro. Quirky. Unexpected. Us.
Our one-of-a-kind mural
International muralist Laura Annis has been our friend for years. She has watched us pivot to food-forward. Knowing us and our direction allowed her to create the mural concept. It features a bison, which has been our signature burger, The Reedsburger (TM) since the beginning of Touchdown Tavern.
We are grateful to the City of Reedsburg for supporting art and the Reedsburg Art Commission for funding the mural. Hopefully it will inspire other bold public art projects!
